Migration in Mind: Dialogues around migration

From 10am to 8pm in Romainmôtier

Free admission

The famous medieval village clustered around its abbey precinct is to host a participatory art experience: Migration in Mind. The three-part event will examine the relationship between Romainmôtier’s long-standing tradition of welcoming guests and offering hospitality and the burning issue of migration at this time of humanitarian crises and disasters at Europe’s borders.

Romainmôtier’s culture of hospitality towards pilgrims, migrants and the poor, which is still evident today in the form of recent initiatives to welcome refugees, as well as its proximity to the federal registration and processing centre for asylum seekers at Vallorbe, make this medieval site the ideal place to confront the issue.

So come along and make your way between the Maison des Moines, the Espace dAM and the Arc Artist Residency, while taking part in stimulating conversations with specialists in the field. Romainmôtier hopes to see you there!
