Alicia Parel's first attempt at transitioning was abrogated by the medical profession in 2000 and followed by a period of brainwashing. Eight years later, Alicia set off in search of herself once again.

Alicia was a founding co-president of the Transgender Network Switzerland and later took up the role of secretary-general at Pinkcross, representing the issues of the LGBT revival to the media and the federal parliament.
